Andy Lennox is one of the leading voices campaigning for a reduced rate of VAT for UK hospitality.

Through The Wonky Table, Andy has pushed for a unified industry ask: hospitality VAT reduced to less than 13%, bringing the UK in line with Europe and giving pubs, restaurants, cafés, hotels, venues and tourism businesses a fairer chance to survive and grow.

His campaign has focused on bringing the sector together around one clear message, working across trade bodies and industry groups including UKHospitality, NTIA, BII, BBPA and other national hospitality organisations, alongside operators, campaigners and political supporters.

Andy has engaged at the highest levels of government and across the wider hospitality industry to argue that a VAT reduction is not about protecting profits. It is about protecting jobs, high streets, communities, tourism, investment and the future of one of the UK’s largest employers and should be the major ask for the industry.

As founder of The Wonky Table, Andy continues to campaign for fairer taxation, stronger industry unity and greater recognition for hospitality as a major economic and social force across the UK.
